[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 올해 당초예산 기준 보통교부세와 특별교부세 등 지난해 2,158억원을 확보함에 따라 지역경제활력화 및 각종 현안, 공약사업에 추진 발판 마련했다고 밝혔다.

지난해 특별교부세 및 특별조정교부금을 전년대비 254%로 대폭 증가한 163억원을 확보하였으며, 지방재정분석 등 각종 평가에서 우수한 지자체로 선정되어 확보한 7.5억원의 인센티브도 포함되어 있다.

주요사업으로는 북평중~봉오마을 간 도로개설, 묵호 일출로 월파방지시설 설치, 재난범죄 취약지 안전대응 CCTV 설치 등 23개 사업이 있다

심규언 동해시장은“올해 역대 최대규모의 지방교부세를 확보함에 따라 민선8기 공약사업, 도시 핵심사업, 시민 삶의 질 개선 사업에 더욱 속도를 낼 수 있게 되었다.”고 말했다.
