[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 환경부 원주지방환경청은 관내 10개 지자체*를 대상으로 드론을 활용한 대기질 관리 교육을 6월 30일 14시 환경청 잔디마당에서 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

* 강원(강원도, 평창군, 횡성군, 영월군, 홍천군, 정선군), 충북(제천시, 괴산군, 단양군, 음성군)

이번 교육은 드론을 활용하여 대기오염물질 배출 의심 사업장을 분석하는 기법과 장비 운영 방법에 대한 노하우 등을 공유할 예정이라고 전했다. 

특히, 고농도 오존 상황이 자주 발생하는 5월부터 8월, 미세먼지 농도가 높은 12월부터 3월에 드론을 이용하여 오염물질 배출사업장을 신속하게 점검하기 위해 지자체와 효율적인 협업체계 구축방안도 논의할 예정이라고 했다.

이창흠 청장은 “이번 교육으로 지자체 담당자의 첨단감시장비 활용 능력을 제고하여 대기오염물질 배출원의 신속하고 체계적인 관리가 이루어짐과 동시에 환경청과 지자체의 유기적인 협업체계가 유지되기를 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
