[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 17일 경기도시각장애인복지관과 (사)한국드론활용협회는 도내 시각장애인의 다양한 문화·여가·사회 활동을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

경기도시각장애인복지관에서는 도내 시각장애인의 다양한 문화 및 사회 활동을 위한 다양한 사업을 운영하고 있으며, 이번 업무협약을 통해 양 기관은 평생 교육 프로그램 개발 및 교류 활동을 위한 협조, 드론 기술 교육·전수, 컨설팅 및 연구개발, 행사 홍보 영상 촬영 지원 등 관련 사업의 발전을 위해 적극 노력하기로 했다고 전했다.

김학승 협회장은 “경기도시각장애인복지관과의 연계 사업을 통해 변화하는 시대에 맞춘 시각장애인의 다양한 문화 활동 지원, 직업적 가능성 확대 등을 함께 할 수 있어 매우 기쁘며, 시각장애인 복지뿐 아니라 경기도시각장애인복지관의 다양한 행사에 ‘드론 촬영 지원 등’을 통해 아낌없는 지원을 이어 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.

김진식 관장은 “코로나19 팬더믹 시대에 사회 전반 많은 변화가 일어났고, 시각장애인에게는 이를 적응해야하는 어려움이 있다. 이번 협약을 계기로 시각장애인이 4차 산업시대의 문화와 발전을 피부로 느끼고 함께할 수 있는 계기가 될 것이라고 생각하며 진심으로 기대된다.” 라고 화답했다.
