[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 약사명동 도시재생뉴딜사업의 일환으로 개최된 ‘월간육림’ 페스티벌이 성공적으로 마무리됐다고 전했다. 

‘월간육림’은 21년 9월부터 22년 3월까지 육림고개 일대의 상권 활성화를 위해 개최된 페스티벌로 새롭고 다양한 공연, 체험, 세일 행사를 통해 코로나19로 어려워진 육림고개 상가의 매출과 모객에 적지 않은 도움이 됐다고 했다. 

특히 10월 진행된 할로윈 페스티벌 ‘육징어 게임’은 오징어 게임의 인기에 힘입어 전국에서 몰려든 참가자들로 인산인해를 이루었으며, 시대를 반영한 재미있는 볼거리를 통하여 시민 참여는 물론 육림고개에 대한 홍보효과를 톡톡히 누렸다고 했다.

지난 12일 ‘월간육림’에서 주최한 채식 프로그램에 참석한 김수현(한림대 사회학과 3학년)은 “요즘 비건식에 대한 관심이 생겨 신청했다”며 “단순히 음식을 먹는 것 뿐 아니라 육림고개에 대한 이야기와 셰프의 철학 등을 듣을 수 있어서 좋았다.”고 밝혔다. 

한편 약사명동 도시재생뉴딜사업은 지난 2017년 선도사업으로 선정되어 올해 5년 차 사업이 추진되고 있다고 전했다.
