[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 24일 가평읍은 가평군산림조합에서 관내 취약계층을 위해 써달라며 150만 원 상당의 이웃돕기 성품을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 기탁된 성품은 관내 저소득층 가구 등 필요한 곳에 소중하게 전달될 예정이라고 했다.

장기명 조합장은 “코로나 확산과 추위로 어려운 상황 속에 나눔을 통하여 이웃들의 마음이 따뜻해지길 바란다. 지속적인 후원 활동을 통해 지역사회 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

임상호 가평읍장은 “코로나19로 인한 경기침체로 어려움을 겪고 있는 이웃을 돌아보고 사랑을 실천하는 산림조합 전직원에게 감사하다. 앞으로도 우리 지역의 소외된 이웃에게 변함없는 애정과 관심을 가져주길 바란다.”라며 인사를 전했다.
