[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 23일 동두천시 중앙동 행정복지센터는 제일감리교회에서 저소득층 가구를 위한 생필품 40박스를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

동두천시 중앙동 제일감리교회는 매년 이웃돕기 성품을 기탁하고 있으며, 올해에도 쌀, 라면, 취나물 등 식료품과 휴지, 마스크, 치약 등의 다양한 생필품으로 구성된 선물 40박스를 중앙동에 전달했다고 했다. 

제일감리교회 김재경 사모는 “코로나로 더욱 어려운 시기를 보내고 있을 이웃들에게 나눔을 실천할 수 있어서 매우 기쁘다. 선물을 받으신 분들이 이 추운 겨울을 나시는데 도움이 되었으면 좋겠다.”고 밝혔다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “연말연시를 맞아 따스한 온정의 손길을 보내주신 김재경 사모 및 제일감리교회 성도 분들께 감사드린다. 전달해준 물품은 중앙동의 저소득층 40가구에게 전달하여 좋은 뜻에 쓰이도록 돕겠다.”고 밝혔다.
