[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 5일 의정부시 호원2동행정복지센터 복지지원과는 가톨릭대학교 의정부성모병원 사원회에서 새해를 맞아 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동에 동참해 성금 50만 원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동은 취약계층 이웃을 돕고자 하는 지역 주민들의 관심과 적극적인 참여를 통해 진행되는 만큼 가톨릭대학교 의정부성모병원 사원회의 선행이 지역사회에서 모범이 될 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

방금선 가톨릭대학교 의정부성모병원 사원회 회장은 “모두가 어려운 시기지만 이번 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 참여로 새해를 맞아 우리 이웃들에게 작은 희망이 전달되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

김영리 호원2동 복지지원과장은 “우리 지역사회에서 양질의 의료서비스 제공에 이바지하는 의정부성모병원 사원회 관계자분들께 감사드리며, 다가오는 설을 맞아 관내 소외되는 이웃들이 없도록 더욱 신경쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
