[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 20일 포천시 포천동은 방위협의회에서 설 명절을 맞아 관내 취약계층을 위해 써달라며 이웃돕기 성금 100만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 기탁받은 성금은 포천동 취약계층 지원 및 복지사업을 위해 사용될 예정이라고 했다.

변하범 협의회장은 “코로나19로 모두가 어려운 시기에 취약계층은 한파와 다가오는 명절에 더 많은 어려움이 있을 것이라 생각해 작은 도움이 되고자 기탁을 하게 되었으며 어려운 이웃에게 소중히 쓰여지길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

김태석 포천동장은 “힘든 시기에 이웃사랑을 실천해 주셔서 감사드리며 설 명절을 맞아 소외된 이웃이 훈훈한 명절을 맞이할 수 있도록 필요한 대상자에게 잘 전달하겠다.”라고 화답했다.
