[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 7일 포천동 주민자치회는 포천동 행정복지센터에서 주민자치회 월례회의를 개최하고 포천동 주민자치회 운영세칙(안)을 마련했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 참석한 주민자치위원들은 주민총회의 개회 정족수 및 개최 방안에 대해 중점 토의하고 공정한 주민자치회의 구성과 다양한 사업 계획 발굴에 초점을 맞춰 운영세칙(안)을 구성했다고 전했다.

주민자치회는 단순 자문기구였던 기존의 주민자치위원회의 역할에서 벗어나 ‘포천시 주민자치회 시범 실시 및 설치·운영에 관한 조례’에 따라 주민과 관련되는 모든 사업추진에 있어 협의권과 심의권을 행사하며 실질적 주민 자치 업무를 수행하게 된다고 했다.

박견영 회장은 “주민의 권한 확대와 참여의 기반은 투명한 정보 공개”라고 강조하며, “관심 있는 주민들이 포천동 주민자치회 운영세칙을 열람할 수 있도록 포천동 행정복지센터에 비치했다.”라고 말했다. 

김태석 포천동장은 “포천동 주민자치회 운영세칙(안) 제정이 진정한 자치분권의 초석이 될 것이다. 포천동 주민자치회의 안정적인 조기 정착을 위해 행·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 말했다.

본 운영세칙(안)에 이의가 있는 주민들은 오는 2월 10일까지 이의신청서 등을 통해 운영세칙(안) 제정에 참여할 수 있다고 밝혔다.
