중앙동 주민자치위원회는 2021년 한 해 동안 봄맞이 꽃심기 활동, 주민자치 특색사업 등 이웃주민의 문화·복지 향상을 위한 다양한 활동을 펼쳐왔으며, 겨울철 어려운 이웃을 위해 써달라며 중앙동 주민자치위원들이 십시일반 성금을 모아 기탁하게 됐다고 했다. 

윤문희 주민자치위원장은 “코로나19로 더욱 힘든 생활을 하게 된 우리 이웃들에게 조금이나마 온기가 전달될 수 있으면 좋겠다. 앞으로도 이웃들을 위해 나눔과 봉사를 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “중앙동의 어려운 이웃을 위해 나눔을 실천해주시는 중앙동 주민자치위원회에 존경과 감사의 뜻을 전하며 지역 공동체를 위해 함께 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
