[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시(박상수 시장)는 지난 13일 오후 5시 한국농어촌공사 강릉지사와 2023년 지역특화 임대형 스마트팜 조성을 위한 위·수탁 협약을 박상수 삼척시장, 김교헌 한국농어촌공사 강릉지사장 및 양측 업무관계자가 참석한 가운데 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에서 사업시행 지침에 따라 실시설계부터 공사 준공 후 인수·인계까지의 전반적인 사항을 한국농어촌공사 강릉지사에 일괄 위탁하기로 협의했다.

삼척시가 지난해 농림축산식품부 공모사업에 신청해 올해 선정된 지역특화 임대형 스마트팜 조성사업은 오는 2024년까지 2년간 총사업비 200억 원(국비 140억, 도비 18억, 시비 42억)을 투입, 삼척시 원덕읍 일원 시유지 6ha에 온실 4ha를 조성한다.

박상수 삼척시장은 “청년들에게 스마트팜 경영의 기회를 제공함으로써 시설 투자에 대한 부담을 낮추고, 임대 후에도 우리 시에 안정적으로 정착시켜 고령화와 인구감소 등 지역 소멸문제에 대응하고 미래의 농업 인력 확보를 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 삼척시는 시설조성이 완료되는 오는 2025년부터는 만18세 이상 ~ 만40세 미만의 청년농업인들을 대상으로 공고 모집해 3년간 임대할 계획이다.
