[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 지속되는 인구감소로 인한 지방소멸 위기에서 벗어나기 위한 각종 시책을 추진하고 있는 가운데, 미래농업과가 귀농귀촌 유치 지원사업의 일환으로 귀농인의 집 조성사업 추진에 나서고 있어 주목을 받고 있다. 

미래농업과가 추진하는 귀농인의 집은, 귀농귀촌 전 거주 공간 확보에 어려움을 겪는 희망자들에게 일정기간 거주하면서 영농기술을 배우고 농촌체험을 할 수 있도록 임시주택을 제공해 농촌 정착을 돕는 사업이다.

이에따라,  올해 귀농인의 집 조성사업에 사업비 3억4천만 원을 투입해 25㎡ 이상 이동식 주택 4동을 설치할 계획이며, 이를 위해 귀농인의 집을 조성할 역량있는 마을·공동체를 모집에 나섰다.

사업대상은 이동식 주택을 설치할 수 있는 마을 소유의 대지를 확보한 관내 농촌체험휴양마을이다. 신청마을에 따라 1동~4동까지 지원 가능하지만,  아쉬운 대목은 사업비의 10%를 자부담하는 조건이다.

사업 대상자로 선정되면 1개동 당 7천6백5십만 원의 보조금을 지원받아 마을이 소유하는 대지에 귀농인의 집 조성 후 7년간 운영 관리하게 된다.

희망마을은 오는 2월 28일까지 사업신청서, 운영계획서 등 필요서류를 갖춰 삼척시농업기술센터 미래농업과(원덕읍 산양서원2길 46)로 직접 방문하여 접수하면 된다.

한편, 시는 지난해 3억9천여만 원을 투입해 귀농인의 집 6동(미로정원마을)을 조성했으며, 올해 귀농인의 집 이용자를 모집하고 운영에 들어갈 계획이다.

최준수 미래농업과장은 “귀농인의 집 사업을 통해 귀농인의 귀농 초기 거주지 부담해소 및 안정적인 영농 정착 유도에 기여하겠다.”며 “앞으로도 다양한 귀농 귀촌 지원정책을 추진해 귀농귀촌인들이 농촌에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
