[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시는 역점사업인 수소에너지&·관광분야의 신규사업 3건에 대해 2023년도 반영액 37억 원을 확보해 총액 543억 원 역대 최대규모의 국비를 확보했다고 밝혔다. 

삼척시가 이번에 반영된 3건의 사업은 원전해제부지 관광휴양형 RE100 타운조성과 액화수소 신뢰성 평가센터 구축, ESS 화재안전 교육훈련센터 구축사업으로 국비 총액이 140억 원에 이르는 대규모 현안사업이다.

시는, 이번에 확보된 국비는 기본계획용역비 일부를 제외한 대부분의 예산이 실시설계비와 장비구축비 등 당장 사업 추진에 필요한 예산으로 사업 추진에 탄력을 받을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

이밖에 임대형 스마트팜 공모사업에 200억 원, 폐광지역 관광활성화 27억 원, 강원대 삼척캠퍼스 기숙사 리모델링 및 복합스포츠센터 장비구축에 32억 원, 포항~삼척간 철도건설과 38번 태백~미로 국도 확장에 289억 원 등 국비를 추가로 확보하거나 국회 예산 심의과정에서 증액함으로써 지역 현안사업 추진에도 탄력을 받게 됐다.

한편, 근덕면 원전해제부지 일원에 조성될 관광·휴양타운 조성사업은 본사업 필수 요건인 실시설계비 예산이 반영됨에 따라 사업비 확보에 물꼬를 틀 전망이다.

박상수 삼척시장은 “역대 최대규모의 국비를 확보한 만큼 민선 8기 핵심 현안사업 추진에 박차를 가하여 가시적인 성과가 나타날 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
