모집과정은 BIO농업대학 2개과정 ‘생활원예과, 소득작물과 등’, BIO농업대학원 1개과정 ‘힐링농업과’ 등 총 3개 과정이며, 학과별 각 30명씩 선발하고, 교육기간은 오는 4월 20일부터 10월 26일까지 매주 1회, 80시간 이상으로 온라인‧오프라인을 병행하여 운영할 예정이라고 했다.

생활원예과는 농업기초, 원예식물 재배기술, 실내원예, 정원설계, 분재 등 이론과 실습을 병행하는 생활원예 입문과정이며, 소득작물과는 농가 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 농작물 재배기술, 특용작물, 농기계 등 지역특화작물 재배기술 과정을 운영한다고 전했다. 

힐링농업과는 양주의 농업‧농촌자원을 활용한 심리적‧사회적‧인지적‧신체적 건강을 도모하는 산업과 활동 전문교육으로 양주농업 서포터즈 양성을 위한 심화교육 과정이라고 했다.

교육은 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 과목별 특성에 따라 소규모 집합교육·비대면 온라인교육 등 온·오프라인을 병행하며 자체 전문강사를 적극 활용해 실습 위주의 현장감 있는 맞춤형 교육을 실시할 계획으로, 신청을 희망하는 시민은 양주시농업기술센터 홈페이지에서 입학원서를 내려받아 이메일로 접수하거나 우편으로 신청하면 된다고 했다.
