[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 경기관광공사 주관으로 전문가가 지역관광 현안 해결을 제시하는 ‘경기도 연계협력형 관광정책 지원’ 공모사업에 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모사업으로 시는 도리돌문화교류센터의 노후 시설물 재생과 도리돌 생태체험장의 관광콘텐츠를 개발하기 위한 ‘도리돌 생태체험장 운영 활성화’ 컨설팅 등을 지원받아 향후 시민과 관광객에게 사랑받는 관광명소로 탈바꿈한다는 방침이다.

도리돌마을은 지난 2013년 농림부 농촌마을종합개발사업의 농촌체험 휴향마을로 추진된 곳으로 (사)도리돌마을활성화센터에 위탁해 도리돌문화교류센터, 항아리탁주 체험관, 농산물판매장 등을 운영하고 있으나, 시설 노후 및 핵심 콘텐츠 부재로 방문객이 점차 줄어 운영 활성화 방안을 모색 중이었다.

시 관계자는 “도리돌마을 주변에는 백운계곡, 이동갈비 골목, 산정호수 등 풍부한 관광자원이 분포되어 있다.”면서 “경기관광공사와 적극적 협업 관계를 통해 도리돌마을이 주변 관광자원을 연계하는 관광거점이 되도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
