[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 3월부터 11월까지 북부지방산림청은 올해 약 41억원의 예산을 투입, 관내 유아·청소년·일반인 등 약 38만명의 국민들에게 산림교육전문가의 숲체험을 통한 정서 함양, 탄소중립, 산림문화·휴양 등 고품질의 산림교육서비스를 제공할 것이라고 밝혔다.
이에 따라 유아숲지도사는 국립유아숲체험원 내 방문 유아들을 대상으로 숲체험 프로그램을 운영할 예정이며, 도시숲, 국민의 숲, 명품 숲, 숲길 등 각종 산림복지시설에 배치된 숲해설가는 유아·청소년·일반인뿐만 아니라, 숲을 찾기 어려운 분들을 위해 학교숲, 노인복지센터, 치매안심센터, 다문화센터 등을 직접 찾아가서 숲해설 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.
그간 산림교육은 코로나19 대유행으로 산림교육 운영사업에 제한점이 있어 대면수업이 어려울 경우 산림교육 동영상 및 체험키트 배부 등 비대면 프로그램을 병행하여 운영했다.
