[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 드림스타트는 지난 8월 3일, 드림스타트 사례관리아동 및 보호자 대상으로 별비치 워터파크에서 물놀이 체험 프로그램을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 물놀이 프로그램은 평소 지역사회 아동들의 건강한 성장을 지원하고 있는 국제로타리 3600지구 가평로타리클럽에서 프로그램 추진을 위한 비용을 후원하여 더욱 풍성한 행사를 추진하였고, 코로나19 장기화와 폭염으로 지친 드림스타트 아동과 가족에게 가족 간의 소통과 화합의 장을 마련하기 위해 계획했다. 

프로그램에 참여한 한 가족은 “물놀이를 한 번 가려면 많은 짐에 아이들까지 챙겨야 해서 엄두가 나지 않는데 드림스타트에서 물놀이 체험을 할 수 있게 해주셔서 정말 감사하다”고 소감을 전했다.

이진옥 행복돌봄과장은 “이번 프로그램을 통해 코로나19와 폭염으로 지친 일상에서 벗어나 즐거운 추억으로 남았길 바란다”며 “물가상승에 따라 취약계층 아동의 지원이 절실한 만큼 앞으로도 세심한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
