[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 낙양물사랑공원 야외 물놀이장이 시민들에게 큰 인기를 끌고 있다고 밝혔다.

낙양물사랑공원 물놀이장은 지난 6월 7일부터 개장했으며 시민들에게 여름철 더위를 식힐 수 있는 시민휴식공간을 제공하기 위해 오는 8월 31일까지 운영되고 최대 150명 동시 입장이 가능하며 현재까지 총 15,600여 명이 야외 물놀이장을 방문한 것으로 집계하고 있다. 

오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지 개장하며, 유아·어린이 전용 물놀이장으로 7세 이하의 아동이 보호자의 동반 아래 이용할 수 있으며 단체는 사전예약 후 이용 가능하고 우천 시에는 운영되지 않으며 오존소독장치가 설치돼 있어 시민들이 깨끗한 물에서 물놀이를 즐길 수 있고 탈의장·화장실 등의 편의시설을 갖추고 있으며, 응급상황을 대비해 응급처리요원을 배치해 두고 있다.

이종범 하수시설운영과장은 “낙양물사랑공원 물놀이장에서 유아 및 어린이를 비롯한 많은 시민들이 즐거운 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 수질관리 및 안전 등에 최선의 노력을 다할 것이다”고 밝혔다.
