[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 9일 포천시 영중면 성동4리 경로당 준공식이 박윤국 포천시장을 비롯한 주요 내빈과 마을 주민 등이 참석한 가운데 개최됐다고 밝혔다. 

준공식은 코로나19 예방을 위해 발열 체크, 마스크 착용, 손 소독 등 철저한 방역수칙을 준수하며, 경과보고, 표창장 전달, 축사, 준공 테이프 절단, 시설 관람 등의 순서로 진행됐다고 했다. 

김순천 노인회장은 인사말에서 “경로당 신설을 위해 애써주신 모든 분들께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 노인들의 여가 및 주민 화합의 공간으로 적극 활용하겠다.”라고 말했다. 

박윤국 포천시장은 “어르신들이 쾌적한 공간에서 편안하게 여가를 즐기고 주민 소통의 공간으로 적극 활용해 건강한 노후를 보내시길 바란다.”라며 “앞으로도 포천시 시민들의 복지향상을 위해 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다. 

한편, 성동4리 경로당은 기존 토지와 건물을 매입해 리모델링 공사를 진행했으며, 사업비는 2억 2300만원이 투입되어 지상 1층 규모로 준공됐다고 밝혔다.
