[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 28일, 가평군은 군수 및 부서장들이 참석한 가운데 '지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 수립 연구용역 착수보고회'를 개최하여 관내 인구활력을 불어넣기 위한 선제적 대응에 박차를 가하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이번 용역은 행정안전부가 지난해 10월 지정한 인구감소지역을 중심으로 22년부터 연 1조원씩 10년간 총 10조원 규모로 지원하는 지방소멸대응기금 확보하는데 총력을 기울이기 위해 시행되었고, 기금은 기초자치단체에 22년 최대 120억, 23년 최대 160억 규모로 지원되며, 올해 5월까지 지자체별로 제출한 투자계획의 평과 결과에 따라 차등 지원된다고 했다.

이에 군은 내실 있는 투자계획 수립을 위한 용역에 착수해 지역의 여건 및 주민수요 분석을 토대로 일자리‧경제, 출산‧보육, 교육, 주거‧정주여건 개선, 생활인구 증대 등 다양한 분야별 사업을 발굴해 독창적이고 차별화된 지역 맞춤형 인구활력 증진 대책을 마련할 계획이며, 또한 인구감소‧지방소멸대응 TF팀을 구성하여 부서별 협업체계를 구축하고 정기회의를 통해 사업 발굴 및 우선순위 선정, 운영 추진체계 구축 등 기금 확보를 위한 총력을 기울일 방침이라고 전했다.   

김성기 군수는 “가평군만의 특화된 자원을 활용하여 지역 매력도를 향상할 수 있는 획기적이고 참신한 투자계획을 수립하여 지방소멸대응기금을 확보하고, 나아가 지역에 활력을 불어넣어 지방소멸 위기에 적극적으로 대응하겠다”고 말했다.
