[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 평생교육법 제40조에 의거 성인학습자가 문해교육 프로그램 이수를 통해 의무교육에 해당하는 초등학교, 중학교 학력을 인정받을 수 있는 제도인 '성인학습자 학력인정체제'를 통하여 12명의 졸업생을 배출하였다. 

군은 강원도교육감 지정‧승인사업인 초등학력인정 성인문해교육 프로그램을 여량1리 경로당에서 4년간 운영하여 총 12명의 졸업생을 처음으로 배출하였으며, 이를 기념하기 위해 2월 28일 여량면행정복지센터에서 제1회 졸업식을 개최한다.

이번에 졸업생 12명을 배출한 여량1리경로당의 졸업생 평균 나이는 78세이며, 최고령은 만 90세로 이화자어르신이 가장 늦깍이 졸업생이다.

이화자어르신은 “먹고 사느라 글 배우는 일이 어려웠는데, 이제라도 내이름 석자라도 쓰고 글을 읽을 수 있으니, 진작 좀 배웠으면 하는 후회가 드네” 라며 웃었다.

정선군은 현재 9개 읍‧면 39개 문해교실에서, 300여명의 학습자를 대상으로서 ‘초등학력인정 문해교육, 기초문해교육, 디지털문해교육’을 꾸준히 제공하고 있다.
