[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 15일 동두천시 중앙동행정복지센터는 노인복지관과의 민관협력으로 복지사각지대 가구의 어려움 해소에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

이는 중앙동과 노인복지관이 공동으로 통합사례관리를 제공하고 있는 독거노인을 대상으로 최근 상담을 실시한 결과 새롭게 드러난 복지욕구를 해소하기 위한 방안으로, 복지관에서 수행 중인 노인맞춤돌봄서비스를 요청한 것이라고 했다. 

노인맞춤돌봄서비스를 계기로 향후 두 기관 모두 정기적인 안부확인과 후원물품 연계 기반이 조성됨과 동시에 공동 통합사례관리 내실화와 지역복지 체감도 모두 향상될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다고 전했다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “앞으로도 노인복지관과 긴밀하게 협력하여 복지그늘에 놓여 있는 주민을 상시적으로 발굴하고 위기상황 해소 방안을 마련하는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
