[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 풀뿌리 민주주의 실현과 군민이 적극적으로 참여하는 주민자치를 위해 고한읍·사북읍·여량면에 주민자치회를 확대 운영한다.

군은 지역주민이 주체가 되어 마을계획을 수립하고 실천방안을 마련으로 건강하고 행복한 살기 좋은 마을을 만들기 위하여 지난 2020년부터 화암면과 북평면에 주민자치회를 운영하고 있으며, 지역주민이 함께 소통과 협업으로 모두가 행복한 마을을 만들어가기 위해 주민들의 활발한 활동이 이어지고 있다.

군은 주민이 지역사회의 주인으로 참여함으로써 주민의 자치역량을 극대화하고 풀뿌리 민주주의 실현을 위한 주민자치회를 9개 읍·면 확대 운영 운영을 추진하고 있다.

올해에는 1월 6일 사북읍 행정복지센터에서 사북읍 주민자치회 위원 위촉식을 개최했으며, 1월 9일에는 고한읍 주민자치회 위원 위촉, 1월 27일에는 여량면 주민자치회 위원을 위촉하고 본격 운영에 들어간다.

또한 임계면 주민자치위원회에서도 주민자치회로의 전환을 계획하여 실행 단계에 들어갔으며, 1월 31일 주민자치학교 운영을 시작으로 올해 하반기 최종 전환을 목표로 하고 있다.
