[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 22일, 동두천시 중앙동행정복지센터는 민관협력을 바탕으로 동절기 복지사각지대 위기가정을 발굴 중이라고 밝혔다.  

대표적으로 종교기관에서 자체 발행하는 주보를 적극 활용하고 있으며, 지난 1월 중앙동행정복지센터 직원들이 몇 차례 해당 기관에 출장하여 관계자들과 복지사각지대 발굴 활동에 대한 업무 협의를 진행하였고, 이러한 활동의 노력으로 동두천성당, 동두천순복음교회, 동두천제일감리교회에서 주보를 활용한 위기가구 발굴 활동에 동참하였고, 실제 생활에 어려움을 겪는 복지 취약계층이 발굴되고 있다고 전했다. 

이춘우 중앙동장은 “여러 기관의 적극적인 협조 덕분에 본인 또는 이웃이 도움을 요청하는 제보 문의가 증가하였다. 제보를 통해 복지 상담을 실시한 가정의 위기 상황을 적극적으로 해소해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
