[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 군민이 체감할 수 있는 인구정책을 담은 리플렛을 제작해 저출산 대응 시책사업 홍보에 적극 나서고 있다고 16일 밝혔다.

군은 부모가 행복한, 아이가 신나는 가평’인구정책 맞춤형 지원사업을 한눈에 확인할 수 있는 안내 리플렛을 관내 전입세대에 전달하고 읍면행정복지센터 및 보건소 등에 비치했다.

또한, 유관기관 및 다중이용 장소에 배포해 결혼․출생 정책들에 대한 군민이 필요한 혜택을 알기 쉽게 소개하는 등 저출산․고령사회 대응기반 강화 및 주민의식 개선을 통한 인구 불균형 해소에 노력하고 있다.

가평군은 올해 저출산 대응정책으로 크게 3가지 사업을 추진하고 있다. ‘행복한 결혼, 건강한 임신․출산 지원’, ‘아동 돌봄․양육 지원 강화’, ‘다자녀 가구를 위한 혜택 증진’등에 다양한 정책을 추진해 양육하기 좋은 환경을 만들어 나가고 있다.

이외에도 결혼․출생가구 여가드림 사업, 출산가구 축하목 지원, 임산부 산전진찰 교통비 지원, 출산가구 및 다자녀 가구 상하수도 요금 감면, 아이돌봄 서비스 지원, 휴양숙박시설 다자녀가구 감면 등의 정책도 주목할 만하다.

가평군 관계자는 “다양한 분야에서 추진하고 있는 맞춤형 정책들을 군민들이 손쉽게 접하고 더 많은 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 다각적인 노력을 기울여 나가겠다”며 “앞으로도 군민들의 의견을 적극 수렴해 군민이 필요한 정책을 지속적으로 발굴 개발하는 등 지역소멸위기 극복에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 가평군 인구는 지난해 11월말 기준 6만3292명(남 3만2570명, 여 3만722명)으로 이중 65세 이상 고령인구가 1만7751명(남 8353명, 여 9398명)을 차지하고 있다.

지난해 군 전입인구는 6500여명이며, 전출인구도 6000여명으로 나타났다. 출생아도 210여명, 사망자도 780여명에 달하는 것으로 파악됐다.
