[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 지난 28일 원주지방환경청은 청사 1층 대강당에서 ‘토석채취 사업장 환경관리’를 주제로 세미나를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 세미나에서는 토석채취 사업장, 환경영향평가대행업체, 전문기관 등 담당자 약 30명이 참석해 환경관리 방안 및 우수사례를 공유하고, 현장의 애로사항 등에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

먼저, 한국환경연구원은 ‘폐석분토사의 적정관리를 위한 대안’을 주제로 토석채취 사업장 침사지 등에서 발생하는 폐석분의 관리방안에 대해 발표하였으며, 충주시 소재 삼일산업에서는 사업장 환경관리 우수사례를 공유했다. 발표 이후에는 참석자 토론을 통해 소음‧진동 및 흙탕물 발생 저감 등 토석채취로 인한 주변 환경영향 최소화 방안을 함께 논의하고, 현장의 다양한 의견을 청취했다.

김정환 원주지방환경청장은 “이번 세미나가 토석채취 사업장의 환경친화적 관리에 대한 인식을 높이는 계기가 되길 바란다”며, 사업자의 적극적인 관심과 노력을 당부했다.
