[김준호 기자=영월군] 영월군은 오는 22일 젊은 세대들의 주건부담을 줄여주기 위한 영월덕포 행복 청년주택 건립공사 기공식을 개최한다.

이날 행사에는 영월군수를 비롯해 강원도 김진태 도지사, 유상범 국회의원,영월군의회 심재섭 의장 등 지역주민 100여명이 참석한다.

영월덕포 행복 청년주택은 민선 8기 공약사항인 청년 정착, 행복한 노후, 삶이 즐거운 행복도시 건설을 위한 첫걸음이다.

본 사업은 국토교통부 행복주택 공모사업과 21년 5월 강원도형 공공임대주택 1호 사업으로 선정되어, 총사업비 298억 중 국비74억, 도비 32억의 예산을 확보하고, 영월읍 덕포리 815번지 일원에 추진된다.

사회초년생 및 신혼부부 등 청년층의 수요에 부응하고자 기존 공공임대주택과는 차별화된 평면과 여유 있는 공간확보 및 빌트인 가구 등 최신 주거트렌드를 반영하였다.

영월덕포 행복청년주택은 지하1층, 지상18층, 연면적 8,097㎡규모에 청년, 신혼부를을 위한 임대주택 102호와 청년 창업 지원을 위한 근린생활시설로 구성되어 있다. 또한 어린이 놀이터와 휴게시설, 전기충전소 등 청년과 신혼부부을 위한 편의시설이 설치된다.

최명서 군수는 "젊은계층의 주거부담을 줄여 자립 기반을 마련할 공간을 제공하는 것이 이번 사업의 목표이다."라며 "인구소멸 문제를 해결하기 위해 주거안정, 일자리 창출 등의 맞춤형 청년정책을 전방위적으로 펼쳐 나가겠다."라고 밝혔다.
