[김준호 기자 =태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 오는 11월 14일까지 태백의 미래를 이끌어갈 2022년 태백시 미래인재 선발 추천서 및 신청서를 접수 받는다.

선발분야는 자연과학, 인문사회, 문화예술, 체육, 기술·기능 등 5개 분야이며 전국단위 이상 대회 3위 입상 및 국위선양 등 조건을 충족해야 신청이 가능하다.

한편, 태백시는 지난 2013년부터 지원을 시작해 2021년까지 총 36명의 미래인재를 선발하여 1억 6천만 원을 지원했다.

선발대상은 초등학교 4∼6학년생, 중·고·대학생과 학교 밖 청소년 및 만 22세 이하 일반인도 포함되며 공고일 현재 본인 또는 보호자가 태백시에 2년 이상 계속 주민등록이 되어 있거나 관내 학교 1개교 이상 졸업을 해야 한다.

또한, 이 조건에 해당하는 자가 80% 이상 포함된 태백시 관내 학교 소속 단체도 가능하다.

최종 선발은 태백시 미래인재 육성위원회 심의를 거쳐 오는 12월에 확정되며 선발된 미래인재에게는 미래인재 증서와 미래인재 패가 수여되고 지원금도 최대 3년에 거쳐 5백만 원 지급된다.

시 관계자는 “다양한 분야에서 역량을 발휘하는 인재들을 적극 발굴해, 자신의 꿈을 키우고 실현해 나갈 수 있도록 지원할 계획이며 이들이 국가와 태백시의 주축으로 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
