[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 19일, 양양군이 드림스타트 학령기(만6세~12세) 아동 30명을 대상으로 기초학력검사를 실시하고 기초학습을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

이번 기초학력검사는 소리울치료상담센터와 연계해 학습에 대한 부적응 및 부진을 나타내는 아동의 학습능력을 진단하고 맞춤형 학습지원을 통해 학습능력향상을 향상시키기 위함이며, 기초학력검사(KISE-BAAT)는 기초학습에 기본이 되는 읽기, 쓰기, 수학 3가지 영역 검사를 실시하고, 검사 결과를 통해 아동에게 학습지 지원, 독서지도 등 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영할 계획이라고 전했다.

이를 통해 학교 학습을 일정수준으로 높이고, 다양한 학습부진 요인을 나타내는 영역에 대해 수준에 맞는 교육지원을 통해 학습부진을 예방하고, 인성교육을 강화해 나갈 방침이라고 했다.

양양군 드림스타트 관계자는 “이번 검사결과를 통해 정확한 판단 자료를 바탕으로 전문적 맞춤형 서비스의 기회를 제공 할 수 있도록 취약계층 아동에게 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다”고 말했다.
