[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주소방서는 21년 9월부터 양주시와 협업으로 추진한 관내 공동주택 피난픽토그램 무상 보급·설치를 성공적으로 마쳤다고 밝혔다. 

피난픽토그램은 화재 등 재난 시 대피경로와 피난출입문의 식별을 용이케 하는 축광형태의 안내표지판과 피난안내선의 스티커로, 지난 20년 12월 1일 경기도 군포시 아파트 화재에서 피난 중 엘리베이터 기계실 문을 옥상 문으로 착각해 참변을 겪은 사고를 계기로 추진됐다.

양주소방서는 피난픽토그램 무상 보급을 위해 양주시(교통안전국)와 예산지원 협의를 거쳐 지원예산을 확보했고 1,2차 보급·설치를 추진하여 22년 9월 양주시 공동주택 118개소(811개동 1,653개 라인) 전 대상에 보급·설치를 완료했다.

경기도 소방서 35개서 중 관내 공동주택 전 대상에 피난픽토그램을 보급·설치한 곳은 양주소방서가 도내 최초로 안전환경 조성 선구자로 한발짝 내딛은 셈이다.

정상권 양주소방서장은 “양주시와 협업하였기에 이룰 수 있었던 성과”라며 “시민이 안전한 사회가 될 수 있도록 모든 역량을 동원하여 안전환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
