[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 21일부터, 가평군은 목공체험에 관심있는 주민들을 대상으로 목공체험프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

가평군은 산림생태문화체험단지 내 목공체험장을 활용하여 관내 목공체험에 관심 있는 군민 등을 대상으로 목공체험 프로그램을 실시힌다고 전했다.

코로나19가 전역을 휩쓴 지난 2년간 우드카빙, 목공 등 나무를 활용한 활동들에 주민들의 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 나무라는 소재가 가진 따듯함이 힘든 시기에 위로가 되어 많은 주민들이 찾고 있다고 했다.

오는 7월 15일까지 유아(가족)체험반, 청소년체험반, 일반성인반 각각 96명씩 288명을 대상으로 진행할 예정이며, 1회 수업시간은 4시간 가량 소요된다고 전했다. 

지난 21일부터 신청접수를 시작하였으며 모집인원 달성 시까지 진행되고, 회당 체험인원 및 체험기간은 사회적거리두기 지침 및 관내 코로나19 확산 상황에 맞추어 탄력적으로 운영된다고 했다.

군 관계자는 “목공체험이 지역 주민들에게 힐링의 시간이 되기를 바란다.” 며 “이런 프로그램을 통해 지역의 산림자원에 대해 많은 분들께서 관심을 갖져주시기 바란다.”고 말했다.
