[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 27일, 평창군 대화면새마을남녀지도자협의회는 설 명절을 앞두고 홀로계신 어르신과 저소득 가정에 떡국떡을 전달하였다고 밝혔다. 

이날 새마을회 회원들은 떡국떡 170kg을 개별 포장하여 관내 200여 가구에 전달하고 새해 안부를 살피며 따뜻한 이웃 간의 정을 나누었다고 전했다.

김명수, 마영희 회장은 “봉사에 앞장서는 새마을 가족과 매번 반갑게 맞아주시는 어르신을 볼 때마다 활력과 감사함을 느낀다.”며, “코로나19 여파로 봉사와 나눔이 소홀해지지 않도록 항상 살피며 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 대화면새마을회는 사랑의 김치 나눔행사, 시가지 환경정비 및 방역소독, 생명살림운동 등 지역의 어려운 주민을 돕고 공동체를 활성화하기 위한 다양한 활동을 이어가고 있다고 했다.
