[김준호 기자=강원남부] 더불어민주당 강원도당(위원장 김우영)은 설 명절을 맞아, 1월 17일(수)부터 각 지역위원회별 ‘설맞이 전통시장 장보기 행사’를 진행하고 있다고 밝혔다.

민족 대명절인 설을 맞아 실시되고 있는 장보기행사는 전통시장을 찾아 지역 경제에 조금이나마 활력을 불어넣기 위해 실시됐으며, 지역위원장, 지방의원, 핵심당직자 등이 참여하고 있다.

지난 19일 오후 1시 강릉 중앙시장에서는 김우영 도당위원장과 강릉시지역위원회 핵심당원들이 참여한 가운데 중앙시장 일대를 돌며 상인들을 격려하고 직접 장을 보며 애로사항을 경청했다.

민심 청취와 전통시장 활성화에 나선 김우영 도당위원장은 “고물가가 지속되면서 전통시장의 어려움이 가중되고 있는 상황 속에서 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 고향을 찾는 귀성객과 시민 모두가 따뜻한 온정을 나누며 안전하고 편안한 명절을 보내시기를 기원드린다."고 전했다.

한편, 민주당 강원도당 설 명절 장보기 행사는 1월 17일 정선5일장을 시작으로 도내 전통시장 모든 곳에서 민주당 핵심당원들이 참여한 가운데 실시되고 있으며, 오는 1월 21일 홍천과 횡성 5일장을 끝으로 마감된다.
