[서종협 기자 = 평창군] 평창군은 28일 방림면 방림리에서 평창군수, 군의회 의원, 농업 관련 단체장과 지역주민 등 120여 명이 참석한 가운데농기계 임대사업소 방림지소의 문을 열었다고 밝혔다.

군은 농업인의 농기계 구매 부담을 줄이고 농작업 기계화를 통한 영농철 일손 부족 해소와 적기 영농을 위해 평창본소, 용평지소, 진부지소, 대관령지소를 운영하고 있다. 이날 방림지소의 문을 열어 총 5곳으로 확대 운영하게 됐다.

본격적인 영농철 4~6월, 10~11월에는 평일은 물론 토요일에도 농기계 임대가 가능하며, 농가의 어려움이 해소를 위해 6월까지 임대료는 50% 감면된다.

심재국 평창군수는 “농기계 임대사업은 농업인에게 직접적인 혜택이 큰 사업으로 관내 모든 권역에 사업소가 들어서게 되면 임대 농기계를 이용하는 농가에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”라고 전했다.
