[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 22일 2023년부터 4년간 시·군·구 체육회를 이끌어갈 체육회장을 뽑는 2022년 지방체육회장 선거가 마무리됐다.

 

경기도에서는 31개 시·군 체육회 선거 중 무투표 당선 지역 11개 시·군 체육회를 제외한 20곳에서 선거가 치러졌다.

 

이 중 경기북부 지역에서는 의정부시, 양주시, 포천시, 가평군 4곳이 단일 후보로 무투표 당선이 됐고, 동두천시, 연천군 2곳에서는 투표가 진행됐다.

의정부시는 송명호(56)가 당선됐다. 경원공업전문대학교 출신으로 의정부 중·공고 총동문회장을 역임했으며, ㈜건화이엔씨 대표와 의정부시 체육회부회장을 맡고 있다.

양주시는 임재근(61)이 당선됐다. 서정대학교 출신으로 제8대 양주시의원, 양주시청민원비서관을 역임했다.

동두천시는 추철호(58)가 득표수 49표(56.98%)로 당선됐다. 현재 고려사이버대학교를 재학 중이고, 동두천시 체육회 부회장을 역임했으며, ㈜삼백건설 대표이사와 동두천시 기업인협의회 상임부회장을 맡고 있다.

포천시는 정종근(62)이 당선됐다. 대진대학교 출신으로 제4대 후반기 포천시의회 의장, 포천시체육회 이사를 역임했으며, 현재 ㈜한내개발 이사다.

가평군은 지영기(67)가 재선에 성공했다. 체육시설업 대표를 맡고 있으며, 대한수상스키협회 국가대표 코치 및 감독을 역임했다.

연천군은 최용만(63)이 득표수 28표(53.85%)로 당선됐다. ㈜대성기업 대표와 연천군 체육진흥기금심의 위원을 맡고 있으며, 연천군 체육회 수석부회장을 역임했다.

 

한편, 이번 선거는 2020년 국민체육진흥법 개정으로 시·도 및 시·군·구 체육회장선거가 의무위탁 대상으로 변경된 후 처음으로 치러졌다.
