[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 경기도는 오후석 경기도 행정2부지사가 6일 연천군을 찾아 주요 건설공사·산업·보건·문화 분야 현황을 살펴봤다고 전했다. 

오 부지사는 이날 경원선(동두천~연천) 전철화 공사 현장, 은통 일반산업단지, 국지도 78호선 고문리 위험도로 개선공사 현장, 농업기술원 소득자원연구소, 연천군 보건의료원, 전곡선사박물관 등을 찾아 주요 사업 현황을 점검하고 관계자들을 격려했다.

국비 4,703억 원을 투입해 동두천역에서 연천역까지 20.8㎞ 구간을 연결하는 경원선 철도 건설사업은 3월 현재 전체 공정률 93%를 기록하고 있다. 

올 하반기 개통 예정으로 오 부지사는 개통까지 안전사고 없이 차질 없는 완공을 당부했다.

연천군 연천읍 통현리 784번지 일원 599,784㎡ 규모로 조성 중인 은통 일반산업단지는 올해 6월 준공 예정이다. 오 부지사는 산업단지 조성에 만족하지 말고 우수기업을 유치할 수 있는 발전전략 마련을 주문했다. 

국지도 78호선 고문리 위험도로 개선공사 현장에서는 도로 폭 협소 구간 개선공사 현장을 둘러보고 도민들이 사고 위험에서 벗어나 불편함이 없도록 차질 없는 공사 진행을 당부했다.

소득자원연구소에서는 친환경 인삼 시설재배 기술과 경기 북부에 적합한 노지 스마트 기술개발 현황 등을 살펴보고 농가 소득 증대를 위한 역량 강화에 노력해 줄 것을 당부했다.

보건의료원과 전곡선사박물관을 찾은 오 부지사는 “연천군의 의료시설과 문화시설을 도민들께서 편안하게 이용할 수 있도록 서비스 향상에 최선을 다해달라”라고 격려했다.
