[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부 시민협치 인수위원회 교통·건설·안전분과는 지난 6월 14일, 부서별 주요 현안사업과 김동근 당선인의 역점공약 이행계획에 대한 업부보고를 청취했다고 밝혔다. 

업무보고를 진행한 부서는 도시주택국, 안전교통건설국, 균형개발추진단, 의정부시설관리공단 등이다.

교통·건설·안전분과 위원들은 고산동 물류센터, 도봉면허시험장 이전, 공공하수처리시설 민영화, 소각장 이전 등 의정부 4대 현안에 대해 집중 질의했고, 예정된 시간을 1시간 넘기면서 현안에 대한 구체적 대안과 김동근 당선인의 공약이행 방식에 대해 열띠게 토의했다.

또한, 인수위원들은 지속적으로 문제가 발생하고 있는 의정부 내 민간투자사업들의 문제점을 지적하며 의정부시가 개발사업에 대한 주도성과 책임감을 가질 것을 주문했다.

임호석 인수위원회 부위원장은 “현재 의정부에서 진행되고 있는 많은 특례사업, 도시개발사업의 대부분이 민간제안사업이다. 시가 더욱 주도적으로 움직여서 시민들에게 가장 도움 되는 방식으로 사업을 진행해야 한다”고 말했다.

신창종 분과위원장은 “위원들과 함께 4대 현안 현장을 직접 방문해서 심화보고 청취를 진행하고자 한다. 의정부 시민분들께서 가장 관심 갖고 계시는 4대 현안에 대해 인수위원으로서 최선의 역할을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
