[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 민선 8기 시정을 이끌게 된 박형덕 당선인의 시장직 인수위원회 활동이 마무리됐다고 전했다.

인수위원회는 지난 6월 10일 출범식을 갖고 본격적인 활동을 시작하여 7월 1일 공식 일정을 마무리했다고 전했다. 

인수위는 활동기간 중 시 26개 부서로부터 추진 중인 업무와 당선인 공약사항 실천계획에 대해 보고받고, 사업 추진을 계획했거나 현재 운영 중인 14개 주요시설 현장을 방문하여 추진사항에 대해 협의했다고 했다.

이에 인수위는 시정 전반의 추진 중인 사업의 효율성 제고 및 신규사업 추진 제안 등 92건의 정책 제안과 52건의 사업보완을 요청했다고 전했다. 

또한  『1.미래역량 교육지원 확대, 2.지역경제 활성화, 3.사회복지 안전망 확충, 4.문화관광 역량강화, 5.청년지원 확대, 6.안전하고 깨끗한 도시 조성, 7.교통인프라 확충, 8.보건의료 지원 확대』라는 시민이 체감할 수 있는 8대 중점 과제를 선정하여 ‘동두천시장직 인수위원회 활동결과 보고서’에 담았다고 했다.

형남선 인수위원장은 7월 1일 관계 공무원과 인수위원 모두가 모인 총평의 자리에서 “인수위원회 활동결과가 민선8기 박형덕호의 성공과 동두천의 도약에 초석이 되길 바란다”며,“지난 17일간 함께 고생해주신 위원들과 시청 공무원, 응원과 격려를 보내주신 많은 시민들께 감사드린다”고 말했다.

한편, 동두천시장직 인수위원회는 오는 7월 11일 인수위원회 활동결과보고서(백서)를 박형덕 신임 시장에게 전달할 예정이라고 전했다.
