[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 14일 ‘포천시 음식물류 폐기물 발생 억제 계획수립 연구용역 중간보고회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회는 오는 2023년부터 2027년까지 5개년도 음식물류 폐기물 발생 억제 계획수립 연구용역에 대한 중간보고로, 환경·시민단체, 외식업체 대표, 대학교수 및 관련 공무원 등 10여 명이 참석해 포천시 실정에 맞는 방안을 심도있게 논의했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “지구온난화로 극심한 기후변화 위기를 겪고 있다. 탄소중립 실천을 위해 모두가 노력해야 한다. 음식물 쓰레기를 줄여 후대에 깨끗한 환경을 물려 줄 수 있도록 모두가 앞장서야 한다.”고 말했다.

시 관계자는 “음식물류 폐기물 발생 억제계획 수립 연구용역은 7월 중순까지 진행된다. 용역 결과에 따라 실효성 있는 정책을 수립·시행하도록 노력하겠다.”고 전했다.
