[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 서태원 가평군수가 제8대 지방선거 과정에서 내걸었던 공약이 지켜지지 않아 불만의 목소리들이 나오고 있다. 

 

지난 5월 27일 가평기독교연합회 주관 가평군수 후보 초청 토론회에서 전 군민 대상으로 ‘재난지원금’을 1인당 20만원씩 지급하겠다고 한 약속이 이행되지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 

 

당시, 서 군수는 “코로나 거리두기는 해제됐지만, 군민들의 생활은 매우 힘들다. 군수가 되면 군민들의 피해를 빠르게 해소하기 위해 마련하겠다”고 강조했다.

 

그러나 서 군수 취임 후 한달이 지났으나, 현재까지 재난지원금에 관해서는 깜깜무소식이다. 

 

본지 확인 결과, 서 군수 취임 후 처음으로 군의회에 보고하게 될 추경에서도 재난지원금 관련 계획은 찾아볼 수 없다. 군의회도 지금까지 따로 재난지원금 관련해 보고 들은 바가 없다고 말한다.
