[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 3월 10일부터 3월 25일까지 환경부 원주지방환경청은 “강원도 내 국가하천인 북한강, 소양강, 섬강, 홍천강 등 9개 하천 842km에 대하여 하천관리상황(안전)점검을 관련 지자체 등과 합동으로 실시한다.”고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 제방·호안·수문·고수부지·자전거도로 등 하천시설물의 관리 상태와 이용자의 불편 사항, 우기철에 물의 흐름을 방해하는 지장물 등을 비롯하여, 하천구역 내 각종 불법 시설물과 불법 농작물 경작 등 하천법 위반사항에 대하여 중점적으로 실시된다고 했다.

점검은 국가하천에 대한 유지보수를 시행하는 기초 지방자치단체 17개 시·군(강원도 9개 시·군, 경기도 3개 시·군, 충청북도 5개 시·군)과 합동으로 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

또한, 올해 하천국이 환경부로 이관됨에 따라 기존 환경부의 점검 부서인 환경감시과와 합동점검 등 협업하에 점검 업무의 효율성을 극대화할 예정이라고 했다.

점검 시 지적되는 사항 중 이용자 불편사항은 즉시 정비를 실시하고, 제방·호안·수문 등 하천 시설물 보수와 물의 흐름에 지장을 주는 지장물 제거 등은 호우 등을 대비해 풍수해 대책 기간(5.15-10.15) 시행일 이전까지 조치를 완료할 계획이라고 했다.
