[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 경기도는 북부 10개 시·군 및 김포시와 함께 경기북부특별자치도 설치를 위한 도․시군 협력체계, 경기북부 AI ․ 아프리카돼지열병 방역관리 대책 등에 대해 논의했다고 9일 밝혔다.

지난 8일 경기도는 오후 경기도청 북부청사 상황실에서 오후석 행정2부지사 주재로 북부 시군 부단체장 등 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 코로나19로 개최하지 못했던 경기북부 시·군 부단체장 회의를 개최했다.

이날 도는 우선 경기북부특별자치도 설치를 위한 도와 시군의 협력체계 구축을 요청했다. 

현재 도는 경기북부특별자치도추진단을 신설하고 특별자치도 설치 기본계획과 비전․발전전략 수립 용역을 추진하고 있다. 

경기도는 도민들에게 경기북부특별자치도의 비전을 적극적으로 제시해 도민의 관심도를 높일 수 있는 방안에 대해 시군의 적극적인 협조를 당부했다.

또한 도는 경기북부 고병원성 AI, 아프리카돼지열병(ASF)이 산발적으로 발생하고 있는 만큼 긴장의 끈을 놓지 말고 방역관리를 강화해 줄 것을 요청했다. 

아울러 접경지역 발전종합계획 및 특수상황 지역 개발사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 접경지역 시군과 공조 체계를 더욱 공고히 하기로 했다.

이 밖에도 경기평화광장 도민마켓, 디엠지 오픈 페스티벌(DMZ OPEN Festival), 시군 인허가 민간 건설공사장 안전관리 강화, 시내버스 준공영제 확대 등 올해 경기도에서 추진하는 각종 사업에 대해서도 적극적인 협조와 관심를 요청했다.

이날 회의에서는 또, 남양주시 지방도383호선(진건~오남)도로개설공사 조속 추진, 양주시 은남일반산업단지 공업용수도 건설사업 관련 건의, 가평군 접경지역 추가지정 요청 등 9건의 시군 건의 사항을 논의했다.

오후석 행정2부지사는 “올해 경기북부는 경기북부특별자치도 발전전략 수립, 시내버스 준공영제 확대, 고병원성 AI 및 ASF 차단 방역 등 시군의 적극적 협조가 필요한 현안 사업이 많다.”라며 “지역현안의 효율적 해결을 위해 지속적으로 시군과의 소통과 협력을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
