[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 12일, 의정부시 흥선동행정복지센터는 의정부소방서와 협력해 흥선권역 화재 취약계층을 대상으로 주택용 소방시설 '소화기, 화재경보기'를 무상으로 보급한다고 밝혔다.

이번 무상 보급은 주택 화재로 인한 인명피해를 줄이고 화재 취약계층에 대한 보호조치 강화를 위해 추진하고 있으며, 보급 대상은 국민기초생활보호대상자, 독거노인, 장애인, 한부모 등이 해당된다고 전했다.

주택용 소방시설은 소화기와 단독경보형 감지기를 '화재 예방, 소방시설 설치 유지 및 안전관리에 관한 법률'에 따라 단독‧공동주택 등(아파트‧기숙사 제외)에서 의무적으로 설치해야 하며, 특히 화재 초기 상황에서는 소방차 한 대의 효과를 발할 수 있는 소화기와 감지기를 함께 설치할 경우 화재 발생 우려를 낮출 수 있는 장점이 있다고 했다.
