[김택곤 기자=정선군] 국가균형발전위원회에서 주관한 2022년 균형발전사업 우수사례에 국민고향 정선군이 선정되었다.

국가균형발전위원회와 한국산업기술평가관리원 주관으로 6일 대구 인터불고호텔에서 개최된 2022년 균형발전사업 우수사례 시상식에서 군민들이 삶의 질 향상을 위한 도시활력증진사업으로 “사북 해봄마을 도시재생사업”이 우수사례로 선정되어 정선군이 우수기관 표창을 받았다.

또한 이날 “살기좋은 마을, 다시 찾고싶은 마을”을 만들기 위해 지역 주민이 주도하고 참여하는 도시재생사업 활성화를 통해 지속가능한 자립형 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 노력한 점을 인정받아 정선군청 전종택 주무관과 정선군도시재생지원센터 엄남섭 팀장이 국가균형발전위원장 표창을 수여 받았다.

군에서는 도시재생 뉴딜사업 일환으로 주민주도 거점시설인 사북 사랑채와 해봄 커뮤니티센터를 조성·운영하고 있다.

사북 사랑채는 사북 10리 일원에 연면적 990㎡ 5층 규모로 신축하였으며, 마을공동 작업장을 비롯해 공구대여소, 마을카페, 어르신 샤워 시설, 순환형 임대주택과 해봄하우스(도시형 생활주택) 등 마을 공익발전을 위한 다목적 주민공동이용공간이 조성되어 있으며, 사북 해봄마을 마을관리 사회적협동조합에서 운영하고 있다.

또한 해봄 커뮤니티센터는 사북 7리 일원에 연면적 934㎡ 5층 규모로 증축되었으며, 새마을회관, 사북읍 행정복지센터 직원 및 환경미화원들을 위한 휴게공간과 경로당, 도시재생지원센터 등 다목적으로 활용할 수 있는 대강당, 저학년 어린이들을 위한 다 함께 돌봄공간이 조성되어 있다.
