[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 9일, 다가올 평화시대를 대비해 그에 맞는 비전과 전략을 찾기 위한 ‘2022년 제7회 한탄강 평화포럼’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

한탄강 평화포럼은 지난 2019년부터 연 2회 개최하고있으며, 올해 7회째를 맞이했다.

이날 포럼에는 정덕채 부시장, 포천시의회 서과석 의장 등 주요 내외빈이 참석했으며, 정세현 전 통일부장관이 ‘한반도 평화구축을 위한 대북교류 협력 재개 방향모색’이라는 주제로 기조연설을 했다.

이후 강영식 (사)남북교류협력지원협회장의 ‘대북교류 협력 재개를 위한 지자체의 통합적 접근방안’의 주제발표와 최준수 (사)평화누리 상임대표, 홍상영 (사)우리민족서로돕기운동본부 사무총장, 조한범 통일연구원 선임연구원, 이재봉 원광대학교 교수의 ‘새정부 출범에 따른 대북교류 협력 재개를 위한 포천시의 통합적 접근 방향 및 협력 사항’ 의견 제시 등이 이어지며 한반도, 동북아 그리고 전 세계의 평화 이슈와 의제를 논의했다.

정덕채 부시장은 “포천시는 한반도 중심에 위치해 있어 다가올 평화시대를 위해 그에 상응하는 비전과 전략을 찾아 대비해야 한다. 이 자리가 향후 한반도의 지속가능한 평화의 길로 나아가는 데 도움이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.
