[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 관광객 유치와 지역경제 활성화를 위해 내·외국인 단체·철도 관광객을 유치하는 여행사와 수학여행 학교에 대해 인센티브를 제공한다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 이달부터 예산 소진 시까지 여행업으로 등록한 업체(코레일 포함) 와 초·중·고등학교를 대상으로 지원기준에 따라 보상금을 지급키로 했다고 전했다.

버스 단체관광은 내·외국인, 수학 여행단 등 대상과 인원 기준, 지원조건을 충족할 경우 최소 15만 원에서 최대 40만 원까지 인센티브를 지급할 방침이라고 했다.

열차 관광은 인원 기준을 세분화해 30명 이상 당일 관광 1인 2천 원, 100명 이상 당일 1인 3천 원, 300명 이상 당일 1백만 원을 지급하며, 또한, 1박을 하는 경우에는 30명 이상∼100명 이상까지는 1인 5천 원을, 300명 이상은 150만 원을 지급할 예정이라고 했다.

인센티브 지원을 희망하는 여행사나 수학여행 학교는 방문 3일 전 일정표를 포함한 단체관광 사전여행 계획서를 관광문화과 관광정책팀으로 방문 또는 우편으로 제출하면 된다고 전했다.

인센티브 지급 신청은 여행 종료 한 날로부터 15일 이내에 하면 되고, 기타 자세한 사항은 시청 홈페이지 공고/고시란을 통해 확인하거나 문화관광과 관광정책팀으로 문의하면 된다고 했다.
