[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 2022년 제1회 대한민국 평생학습도시 좋은 정책 어워드에서 3개 분야 모두 선정되는 쾌거를 거뒀다고 밝혔다.

전국평생학습도시협의회가 기획하고 주최한 이번 공모는 전국의 우수한 평생학습도시 정책을 발굴하고 민관 협업단체와의 시너지효과로 평생학습도시 현장의 사기를 높이고자 마련됐다.

지난해 12월 열린 시상식은, 모든 평생학습도시 정책은 특별하다를 주제로 평생학습도시 좋은 정책상, 파트너십상, 평생교육사 인물상 등 3개부문에 대한 시상이 이루어 졌다. 

이날, 동해시는 동트는 동해대학(비학위)이 지역사회 문제를 발견하고 해결하는 리더 양성과정으로 사회 문제해결형으로 평생학습도시 좋은 정책상을 수상했으며, 

지난 한해, 시민들의 독서문화향상을 위해 협업을 추진한 사단법인 국민독서문화진흥회가 파트너십상, 평생교육사 인물상에는 평생학습 전파와 성장발전에 기여한 김연수 평생교육사가 각각 선정됐다.

이에따라, 동해시는 평생학습도시 좋은 정책상, 파트너십상, 평생교육사 인물상 등 3개부문을 동시에 석권하는 성과를 올려  앞으로 평생학습 중심도시로 발돋움 할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
