[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 18일 오전 9시 30분 평창군은 평창문화예술회관 소공연장에서 평창군청 직원 100여명이 참석한 가운데 강원특별자치도 출범을 위한 평창군 검토 과제를 주제로 특강을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

강연자는 금창호 한국지방행정연구원 석좌연구위원으로 강원특별자치도 관련 다양한 분야에서 활발하게 활동하고 있으며 이번 특강은 강원특별자치도에 대한 평창군 전직원의 관심을 제고하고 보다 심층적인 이해를 바탕으로 평창군의 강점을 살리는 특례를 발굴할 수 있도록 하고자 마련되었으며, 주요내용은 강원특별자치도 논의의 초점, 지방자치 특례제도 고찰, 강원특별자치도 도입과정, 향후 검토 및 군 대응 과제, 강원도와 평창군이 나아가야 할 방향성 제시에 초점이 맞춰졌다.  

심재국 평창군수는“이번 특강을 계기로 모든 직원들이 특별자치도에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 특례사업 발굴에 적극적이고 자발적으로 참여하는 분위기를 만들어 내실있게 준비하겠다.”고 말했다.
