[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 내년 6월 강원특별자치도 성공적 출범 위한 자문단 구성을 완료해 민간자문단 위원 위촉식을 오는 26일 시청 7층 회의실에서 개최하며, 위촉장은 원강수 원주시장이 직접 수여한다고 전했다.

자문단은 민간전문가 7명, 공무원 4명 등 총 11명으로 구성되며, 대학, 연구, 기업, 경제, 법률 등 다양한 분야의 전문가가 참여해 원주시 특례 안건에 대한 전문성 있는 자문과 각계각층의 의견들을 전달할 것으로 보인다.

원주시가 발굴한 특례 건수는 6개 분야 12건으로 삼성반도체공장 유치, 부론국가산단 조성, 기업혁신파크 조성, 디지털 헬스케어 기반 산업 육성 등 주요 핵심 특례가 포함되어 있으며, 이외에도 환경, 첨단산업, 정보통신 등 다양한 분야의 특례를 발굴하여 검토중에 있다.

자문단 회의에서는 주요 핵심 특례안건 4건에 대한 해당 부서의 설명 후 자문단 토의 및 질의・응답 순으로 진행되며 향후 자문단 운영방안에 대한 논의도 이루어질 예정이다.

원주시 관계자는 “이번 자문단 회의로 전문위원의 의견을 받아 29일 특례발굴 기초자료를 최종 제출할 예정이며 제출 이후에도 도 추진단 및 자체 자문단과 함께 특례 안건을 더욱 구체화하는 등 협의를 이어나갈 예정이다”라며, 이어서 “지역발전과 시민혜택을 위하여 우리 시의 특례안건이 반드시 법안에 반영될 수 있도록 총력을 기울이겠다”라고 말했다.
