[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시는 지난 18일 동해시청소년상담복지센터에서 2023년 제17기 동해시청소년참여위원회 발대식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 발대식에는 심규언 시장과 참여위원 21명이 참석한 가운데 청소년참여위원들을 대상으로, 위촉장 수여와 함께 청소년참여위원회 활동과 청소년정책에 대한 소통을 위한 시장과의 만남의 시간을 가졌다.  

동해시청소년참여위원회는 청소년기본법에 따라 구성된 위원회로 청소년 관련 정책의 수립 및 시행과정에 청소년이 주체적으로 참여토록 하여 정책 실효성 제고 및 청소년의 권익증진을 강화시키는 차원에서 운영되고 있다.

한편, 동해시청소년참여위원회는 올해부터 본격적으로 정책개발, 국내·외 교류활동, 지역 내 자원봉사 활동 등 다양한 참여활동을 진행하게 된다.

심규언 시장은“미래의 동해시를 이끌어 갈 참여위원회 소속 청소년들이 다양한 참여 활동을 통해 다양한 정책들이 제안되고 반영되기를 기대하며, 이를 위해 시에서도 적극적으로 지원하여 시정에 우선적으로 반영될 수 있도록 적극 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
